I would just put everything in it. Just every feature, storyline, location, everything in one game. Let everything be optional so people could enjoy the parts they liked while ignoring the parts they don't. Bam. Best pokemon game ever.

What a childish view.
You threw a fit when the exp share first gave the entire team experience even though it was optional.
You threw a fit when you were gifted a Latios/Latias in ORAS even though you had the option to box it.
You threw a fit when <insert generational gimmick> made every battle too easy even though you had the option to not use it.
You threw a fit when HMs were removed even though they were explicitly not optional before then.
The majority of players don’t want to make their own experience tailored to their personal preferences, they want to passively be spoonfed. And if they’re spoonfed something imperfect, they throw a fit.
