People are using CAI for the availability of individual characters pre-made. The dystopian policies of most other places bar you from ERP with a wide margin of Pokémon's cast. Even if some of their ages are ambiguous some sites refuse to let you use moé imagery.

Also you can just look at the overall rentry selections and see the advantage that CAI has. Furry & overly sexual themes and a select few characters are on other places, whereas CAI has a more sandbox feel to it where you can do anything with anyone. The filters get in the way and are quite bad in the long run, but it doesn't take long to learn the workarounds. And when you do, the bot output you get is one-of-a-kind.
