Ultimately, Masters' biggest issue is that it offers not a single thing any other gacha offers a million times better. Production values? Story? Waifu/Husbando pandering? Character interactions? Gameplay? You can get most if not all of those things better in practically any of the top gachas nowadays.
It's only got the brand name to carry it, but there's only so much brand alone can carry without any of all those things. Sure, the mainline games may be shit, but the formula can carry until eternity, what gameplay formula does Masters have? Gachas die and live by their writing and husbando/waifu pandering nowadays and Masters is mediocre at all those things and calling it mediocre is actually praising it too much.
People would roll for duplicate Pokemon if everything else was up to par, but it's not, so it's layers upon layers of repetitiveness and laziness. On any other gacha people would be clapping at the Arc Suits being Super Saiyan versions of the normal outfits but here when everything's so lazy they just feel triple lazy.

RSE is where Masuda's writing team really failed at writing an engaging friend character. Probably due to the mismanagement of needing to throw out the entire original drafts, including Wally being the 7th Gym Leader as the culmination of his arc instead if "he was the real Rival all along". Neo Champions have almost gone through every region and almost every legendary in the series has been added in some form. Arceus Arc eventually Arceus has to show up at some point. When someone gets Arceus which at this point is probably Arc Suit Rei since protagonists are fair game, he'll have some epic clash with Volo. Where does the story go from there? Arceus is the ultimate end all of Pokémon is it not?

Let's just say it keeps going from there without a main story. How many more times are you going to willingly roll a Ho-oh or Charizard? Or the same 20 or so characters getting their 10th alt. Oh boy, 4* Leon & Seismitoad, this is what I've been waiting for, thank you DeNA, and I only needed Master Fair Leon for this shitstain freebie.
