>haha every pokemon is just an insect!!!!
I hate this dumb fucking meme so much.
>>57947457do not look up what a lot of animals named after pokemon actually are
>>57947478Yeah man probably because they're the most numerous species on the planet and no one gives a fuck about what you name a beetle with a slightly shinier abdomen than the one that lives five kilometers to the west we already knew about.
>>57947441 (OP)Unironically a better design than the original unovabort one. Just add on the pokemon artstyle and it's good.
>>57947441 (OP)A good design is one that looks good. Your pic looks like shit.
>>57947441 (OP)That design makes no sense. Why would a giant spider be mimicking ice cream? Why would it furthermore have smiley faces on the ice cream? The creator would never have come up with it if he hadn't been using the actual design as a base, trying to think of a way to make it "realistic" and edgy.
>>57947441 (OP)Why were you designed so poorly that you sit around on a Friday evening making inane ragebait on /vp/?

I got cursed the fuck out the last time I bitched about RJ Palmer in a realist Pokemon thread but now that I'm at explaining shit lemme tell you why a fucking hate his art.
Palmer isn't bad as depicting "realistic" Pokemon, I hate him because he sits a frustrating middleground where he'll do genuinely good and creative depictions of Pokemon but when it comes of objectmons like Trevenant, Vanillux, or Honedge he utterly REFUSES to go full creative in his creature design and sticks to depicting them as earthly animals.
It's like he wants to draw Pokemon in a Sci-Fi setting but not the creative and colorful Sci-Fi like Halo or Metroid, but the boring and "safe" Sci-Fi like how Netflix does it...
>>57947493All bugs are gay and lame. Reptiles are better.
>>57947441 (OP)I liked the pic I saw once of a stalagmite Vanilluxe that looked like dropped ice cream cone, I think it'd look better like that
