Quasartico is leading the urban redevelopment to secretly fund and redevelop the ultimate weapon. However, with AZ not cooperating, they’re struggling to finalize and power the already built machine. Jett wants to use the ultimate weapon to "wipe the slate clean" and "reboot Kalos to its golden age".

Jett theorizes that Zygarde may play a role in powering it on, but no one can find it. You find a Zygarde core while doing missions early on, which Quasartico scientists use to breed a “fake Zygarde”. Vinnie secretly tasks you with collecting more cores, but urges you to keep it secret.

Real Zygarde returns when it senses danger, as does Lysandre, who warns of impending chaos. After collecting enough cores, Jett forces fake Zygarde to change formes - which works momentarily but then causes fake Zygarde to go berserk and nearly destroy the planet. The technology to force it to evolve is also what causes new, strange mega evolutions to appear around Lumiose.

Alongside your Mega Zygarde, AZ’s Floette evolves into a new Pokémon (the dragon thing) called Floraboros that dies stopping fake Zygarde. Fake Zygarde reverts to its infant forme and is taken by Lysandre to “a faraway island where an old friend who owes him a favor might be able to research it”.

Post game, AZ takes over the urban redevelopment plan. Lumiose becomes a beautiful haven for people and Pokémon. You can do a mission to catch a Floette Eternal Flower Forme. It evolves into Floraboros at level 52 (Dragon Fairy type). You can’t catch “fake Zygarde” in this particular game. Also, Fake Zygarde is shown being awoken at the end of the next trailer.

Lastly... evolving at level 52 with the name ouroboros mixed in is cool. A year repeating, 52 weeks. Guess they're hammering a message there; one stating everything every year swallows into itself repeatedly.
...Colress is probably who Lysandre is referring to as 'friend', and the 'faraway islands' are most definitely Alola, where he anyway currently resides. There's probably no one better qualified to study abnormalities than him.

No, you travel fast using the rollerblades. You can climb onto buildings and jump across roofs by gliding with your Rotom phone for some reason. No abilities or hold items. Mega Stones are just bag items (like LGPE)
