Should Pokémon moves have different attributes depending on the using Pokémon's typing or designation.

For example,
>Ancient power has it's secondary effect chance doubled if it's used by a Fossil or ancient associated Pokémon.

>Muddy Water gets a power boost if it's used by a Pokémon that is both Water and Ground type. etc.

That would be needlessly complicated.

No that’s retarded.
What you’ve looking for are called “Abilities”, they exist already.

I respect the concept but that ends up being a lot of arbitrary rules and categories you need to remember especially with 1000+ Pokemon out there.
It would be cool for a smaller-scale monster game but there's simply too many Pokemon and subdivisions of them for it to work cleanly.

I'd prefer its power to be doubled and to be physical or special depending on the user's highest attacking stat when used by a fossil Pokemon.

Unfortunately Game Freak is too much of a fag for this.
