We don't need to be told that the opposing Pokémon is being withdrawn, we can see that is what's happening just fine, yet the game feels the need to tells us anyway.
This happens for way too many moves, in a game that's already much slower than PLA, partly because PLA is a game that doesn't factor abilities or held items, partly because PLA doesn't have these awkward pauses, partly because the animations are far faster, etc.
