I always figured settlements in Pokemon games weren't to scale, they just showed what was important to the player and you compare them to each other within the same game. Like, Pallet Town isn't really just 2 houses and a lab with several homeless NPCs, it's just a small costal community. Compare that to Saffron, for example.

Mt. Silver would be even smaller than Pallet. The absolute sticks. Seems nice.

Considering how fucking dangerous Mt Silver is and how even (you) needs Oak's permission despite being Champion to be able to enter it there's no way they would assign any random to the Mt Silver Center. Anyone who ends up there would be only the most extremely qualified of people and getting sent there would also be and extremely privileged, prestigious and well paid person as that too. The Pokemon world has strong unions with high lobbying power. When technology made nurses obsolete they made sure all Pokecenters are legally required to have one nurse, even if her job is to just stand there and do what the PC can do.

Isn't there a house with a retired idol there? If she was able to get permission to live there then it can't be that dangerous. You'd also be getting paid to do literally nothing. Sounds good to me.
