gen2->box randomly corrupts my pokemon
gen3->can’t move left/right when watering berrys
gen4->have to scroll through poketch apps quickly to see what number they’re labeled

veen forever since i played gens 1-3 so im starting with gen 4
gen4 - im not a huge fan of having the berry plots scattered throughout the region
gen5 - the stat up/down sounds are pretty weaksauce compared to other gens
gen6 - the friend safari being a single fucking square is really stupid, just give it a SLIGHTLY more natural layout
gen7 - the shitty cutscene animation is in full display here, by which i mean the whole

thing. also the forced (iirc) rotom camera tutorial is dumb
gen8 - if you press B to exit the settings screen, instead of saying "would you like to save these settings?" it will say "would like to save these settings?" without the word "you". i don't think i've ever seen anyone mention this.
gen 9 - one of the titans randomly being a paradox mon is kind of dumb (especially in violet like why is there a random robo donphan in the desert)

Sword and Shield had one of the best and most easily accessible menus in the franchise, and Scarlet and Violet took almost all of the things that made those menus good and got rid of them:

>no longer able to quickly scroll through items with L and R shoulder buttons
>ditto the Pokedex, which by the way now also is horizontal for some reason
>favoriting items might as well do nothing because they don't have an option to send them to a special part of the bag or to the top of your item list
