Is there a good chance Game Freak will fuck it up? Yes. Is it fun, constructive, or healthier than blind optimism to doompost about it without even seeing anything yet? Yes.

As of late, they introduced the Legends style of gameplay, gave open world exploration a spin, put out a patch for SV that improves the performance greatly, and still have some cool ideas like the paradox mons. Anything is possible and that makes me excited.

I unironically think we have enough pokemon. The individual monsters. We have more than enough unique lines to make a near infinite stream of refreshing games with.

No reason why we can't go to a new area with a subset of our current known pokemon to catch.

Yes I agree. They need to polish what they have and make world feel more cohesive. Im oknwith giving regional evos or whole branched evos. But we have enough basic stage mons.

A LOT mo need their movesets reworked and new interesting moves added so each pokemon is own experience.
