Spinoffs "only" sell 1mil some typically. On the other hand mobileshit costs about 2 cents to make and prints cash. They have no incentive to make a normal spinoff

i think with that pokemon works studio or whatever the fuck they called it they may be the ones relegated to do spinoffs simply because now that they fell for the open world meme and still have no idea how to properly do one a lot of the team is just bashing their heads against the keyboard trying to make it work and so they lose time and resource to do side projects, their new side studio will be tasked most likely to make spinoffs and remakes most likely

In the case of Mystery Dungeon, Chunsoft is the one developing the games and we alredy got one earlier this year (Shiren 6) so don't expect a new Mystery Dungeon game soon (in general)
