Day 30

After becoming Champion of Hoenn, I set sail for a new region—Sinnoh. With the journey behind me complete, I chose to leave Manectric and Altaria behind in Hoenn to bask in their hard-earned glory. The remaining survivors, their journey fulfilled, were released into the wild to live freely. My new adventure began in Twinleaf Town, where I received a Piplup from Professor Rowan, a determined little Water-type ready to forge a new legacy.

With a fresh start ahead, I began exploring Sinnoh. My first catch was a feisty Starly, followed by a Bidoof at Lake Verity. As I made my way toward Jubilife City, I added a Shinx to my growing team. After receiving a high-tech Pokétch watch in Jubilife, I continued northward, catching a Budew nestled in the grass and a Psyduck lurking in Ravaged Path. Unfortunately, large boulders blocked the way forward, forcing me to turn back.

I shifted course and went east instead, catching a Kricketot along the way. I passed through another cave, this time finding a clear path that led me straight to Oreburgh City. With a new team forming and a new region to conquer, my Sinnoh journey had truly begun.

Why would that matter? I’m not sure you can even get a Razor Fang in HGSS and everything else you would find on Route 206 is a dupe.

Because when I began in June after having a break with nuzlockes starting with Kanto, I made a rule stating I can only catch a pokemon once and if I caught it in one region, I can't catch it again and so on. So I can't use Zubat because I caught one in Kanto, I can't use Geodude because I used one in Johto and I can't catch Wingull because I had one in Hoenn. Part of my own rules I guess.

Since I've already caught a Budew, I won't be able to use members of that evolutionary line in other pokemon games like in Unova or Kalos for example.

that's a pretty limiting rule. there will be routes you won't be able to catch anything, or will basically only have one choice. you should do something like a champions clause where only the main party members you finish with are restricted in the next game. like, if you got Gligar in HGSS but it just sat in the box, you didn't even use it, what's the point of restricting it? but whatever, it's your game connny, good luck

Day 31

I descended into the Oreburgh Mines to train and prepare for my first Sinnoh Gym battle. Once my team was ready, I challenged Roark, the Gym Leader of Oreburgh City. Piplup opened strong, taking down Geodude with Bubble. But then his Onix set up Stealth Rock, making me hesitate to switch in Psyduck, who I had originally planned to use against Cranidos as my expendable backup. Instead, Budew stepped up, using Absorb to bring down Onix.

Then came Cranidos. I had a flash of inspiration—Budew hit it with Stun Spore to paralyze it, slowing it down. From there, Budew drained its energy away with Mega Drain until Cranidos fell. Roark didn’t land a single hit. Victory earned, I smashed through the boulders in Ravaged Path and continued my journey.

As I traveled toward Floaroma Town, my Starly evolved into a stronger, sharper Staravia. Outside the Valley Windworks, I caught a Shellos, only to discover that the place had been taken over by the shadowy group known as Team Galactic. I infiltrated the building and battled Commander Mars. Her bulky Purugly proved deadly—Psyduck was killed trying to stall it. Staravia stepped up in a fury and took it down, avenging Psyduck’s sacrifice. With Mars defeated, Team Galactic retreated.

I pressed on and caught a Pachirisu to the north before arriving at Eterna Forest. As I reached the edge of the woods, I found a quiet cabin and decided to rest there, gathering my thoughts and preparing myself mentally for what lay beyond the trees. The deeper I go, the more dangerous this journey becomes.

Good idea but I've already began and I can't change the rules now. I added that rule so I don't end up using the same pokemon over and over again as I know I will just end up using Zubat all the time due to how common it is and how useful it's evolution Crobat is, same could be said for some other pokemon.

I should be fine when it comes to new areas, bare in mind that right now I'm playing gen 4 which mostly has gen 4 pokemon, pokemon that couldn't be encountered in Kanto, Johto and Hoenn unless we are talking about cross gen evolutions like Magnezone and even then there are plenty of non gen 4 pokenon in Sinnoh I haven't used in the first three regions like Meditite or Psyduck which I just lost unfortunately as of today.
