The writing is a little cringe and some of the memes are outdated, but it's still better than most "serious" story hacks with unironic edgy dialogue about pokemon war, murder, rape, and shit like that

It's good. Great music, gameplay and some funny jokes even if it is more of a time capsule these days. My biggest gripe is that a lot of my favorite mon designs are locked to postgame, and I'm pretty lukewarm on the maingame offerings.

Gameplay-wise there's nothing to complain about. Most of the memes are outdates but desu that was to be expected. The silly plot is love-or-hate-it kind of deal, but the reveal from the end of post-game give it some value and validity.
