>>57960676Maybe an odd connection, but given the fact that several real life fruits exist even though the series went the extra mile to invent PokéWorld equivalents, but whatever (e.g. apples, avocados, bananas etc.), we can assume the water in the PokéWorld is the same as its real life counterpart. If we take for granted that the RL fruits in pokemon are similiar in composition as the ones in our world.
So water types use ordinary water, but are either able to manipulate it or there's also some "enchanced" water (something like Holy Water; there's also the item "Mystic Water") that allows water types to do any kind of crazy stuff we know from the franchise.
>>57965652Fair enough. Though, from a world building standpoint, having logic applied - where it's necessary in a fun and not too serious manner - makes the lore and series more coherent and thus enjoyable. If everything's just convoluted with all kinds of premises that seem rather farfetched and are only included to justify a new gimmick, then is hard to immerse. But that's just my two cents.
