I got given 4 boxes of trading cards that I’m going to sell, are they worth more unopened or opened with rare cards?

Unopened, can earn more on the potential of rare pulls than can on the actuality of whatever rare shit you pulled. I mean, the odds you getting a super-rare or extremely expensive one are small, even with the "! rare a pack" guarantee, best try and dupe some sperg with a gambling problem and endless hopium outta his money than try shift what may not even sell.
