Why is that episode banned? It can't be because of the scene with James' fake tits because that part was edited out from the dub version in the first place. I've seen some people mention it's because of how Misty is lusted after or "objectified" in the episode, but 4kids kept all the other instances like it from other episodes aside from the kangaskhan kid asking to suck her boobs.

Toei told them to do to One Piece what they had done to Pokemon and YuGiOh in the hopes OP would be as big of a success as the other two were. 4kids' deal with WB was only for Saturday mornings, which had a younger target demographic than primetime blocs like Toonami. They had no choice. I think remember reading they made it as awful as possible so Toei would pull the license and give it to someone who could actually do the series justice.

It wouldn't be good enough, Jynx has effectively been blacklisted from the anime even after it was turned purple.
The controversy's lingering sting on the franchise as "Pokemon is... RACIST!?!?!?" from Americans was bad enough that they scrapped any plans of making Mega Jynx period, and that's probably why we got Mr. Rime, another Ice/Psychic related to a Gen 1 humanoid, as a result.

Once we got the gen 1 production leaks, it became a lot more obvious: There was originally a third ice counterpart of Magmar/Electabuzz based off pic related from Ultraman. Jynx was meant to be a female counterpart to it.
