The originals do have a chance to shine since. However, I do agree that some shinies should be shit because even with ugly colors there are going to be some people who just happen to like it. Shinies that aren't even noticeable are infuriating because not even people with bad tastes can enjoy them properly.

I don't have a problem with things like green Ursaring/Espeon. Maybe I don't like it, but someone who wants a color Team or has green as their favorite color will appreciate it more.

My problem is Shiny ones that barely change color at all; it's like they're not worth the effort. For example, give me a pastel pink and white Garchomp. It looks horrible, but that's the joke: the contrast between a design made to look fierce turned into a J-pop princess or a white Blaziken that looks like a KFC mascot.

Espeon's shiny colors reference an anime by Osamu Tezuka and a creature from Final Fantasy.

I know it’s also pretty basic, but a Black Shuck style shiny for Absol would be so much cooler than its slightly red tinged variant. Especially with the whole misfortune/calamity aspect to it.
