Explore what? As much as you want to call me an adhd zoomer I did deeply explore the game. I looked for coins, I scoured the map looking for the ruined beast pillars without a guide, I tried to find all the little nooks and crannies filled with hidden items. Hell, I found all the wisps in PLA and I noticed a lot more interesting pokemon habits and interactions in that game because the maps are smaller and the travel is slower paced. SV just didn't deliver on that apsect of an explorable world that well. You can try and defend the game all you want by insulting me, but you're doing yourself and the game a diservice by outright disregarding commentary on its flaws.

During the story? Not sure, maybe 2. I am pretty sure my shiny gogoat and the steel elephant from gen 8 were found before I finished the story.
