I still laugh when I think about my dad insisting Pokemon was just a phase I'd eventually grow out of.
Met my wife when we randomly started talking about Pokemon in college. We both still play. All of my friends still play into our 30's. My cousins come to me when their kids have questions about Pokemon. My brothers are fringe into it still, older brother is a Genwunner but played Sun with his friend, younger brother has bouts of obsession opening tcg packs and usually picks up the newer games skipping gems here and there.
