What could it possibly even be about, mochi? a lot more like supertraining bags than pkhex.

bottlecaps? tera shards? nature mints? ability capsules and patches? move relearning, egg moves, and tms? those were all main game.

pretty much the only things you can't change on a pokemon are IVs for hidden power, gender, and form.
Hidden Power got reworked in PLA to be a Unown signature move and work like Legend Plate Arceus, so no point in that.
Forms are either fully cosmetic, already designed to be swapped between, or are effectively separate mons that might cause mechanical issues if they swapped form, primarily crossover movesets.
And pokemon sex changes are going to be WAY too controversial for them to ever be implemented.
