>bug entire identity is being the weakest type used by the weakest trainers in the game (bug catchers, young boys, all the easiest gym leaders of their respective regions, alder and more)
>the gimmick of almost all Pokémon is to teach the player that pokémon that level up and evolve quickly won’t be as powerful as those who evolve later and gro slower.
>"HUR DUR! GF SHOULD MAKE BUG STRONG AGAINST FAIRY FOR NO REASON AND MAKE A POWERHOUSE POKEMON WITH THE BUG TYPE AND A BUSTED ABILITY AS WELL
why do bugfags actively hate what make their favorite type special?

This. Dragon was meant to be a purposefully overpowered type used only by the endgame trainers and put all on psuedos or legendaries or otherwise rare mons not seen only on a handful of trainers that you have to go out of your way to obtain such as Flygon, Kingdra, or Haxorus. With Gen 6 and the introduction of Fairy type GF made it clear the intention was now not to have types be specialized but rather to have them all be on a somewhat even playing field of effectiveness, yet they fucked that up because it is GF.

No one is asking to make Butterfree a Psuedo with 600 BST while also making Bug beat 16 types.
You can still have shitmon Pokemon for early routes and have regular Pokemon with a type that isn’t discount Flying.

Bug types should get a 5% (or even 10%) boost to attacks for every fellow bug type in the party
Would fit the theme of bugs being weak individually but terrifying in a swarm

>for no reason

Pic related. Insects would be absolutely fucking horrifying if you were a classic Tinkerbell-style fairy. There's every justification in the world to have Bug be strong on Fairy

Also Fairy Type represents little girls, who stereotypically freak out when they see bugs, they don't like "icky" things so it makes sense Bug Types would scare the shit out of them

this would be hilarious for those monotype metas
besides, a bunch of other types get some kind of thing they can get better advantage of by stacking a given type
>ground and rock types get sandstorm
>ice types get hail/snow
>fire types get sun
>water types get rain

I'm guessing OP is one of those sensitive fairy defenders from the thread the other day that dared to criticize fairies based on all this projecting and strawmanning. Personally, I think fairy losing its resistance to bug would be enough. Also, OP forgot that Volcarona and Genesect exist.

As a bugfag I think the best way to buff bug is to create more powerful status moves like quiver dance, tailglow, and sticky web for them and only them. I like the idea of them being weak offensively and defensiveky but having huge potential thanks to their unique options no other type can access.

Yes, because it's the typing that makes the lvl10 FE bug pokémon weak to compensate for their low level evolution, not their BST and stat distribution.
