I liked the team building aspect of limited TMs in the campaign since you couldn't just put all the best moves on everyone, but I also think it's retarded that you just fuck yourself forever if you give Shadow Claw to a female Pokemon in Gen IV.
Ideally they would've just put every TM you've obtained before up for sale in the Route 9 Department Store after you beat the E4, that way the campaign could have still been balanced while making team building for comp less of a ballache.

The Veilstone Game Corner might actually be the fairest the gambling in Pokemon's ever been.
It takes like 10 minutes to get 1000 coins with the Clefairy bonus so only around an hour and a half for a TM.
Still a hassle but it's much better than previous gens where it was 100% random.

Get the Amulet Coin. Rematch the rich trainers on the route outside the Pokemon Mansion with the VS Seeker. They give loads of money, making it very easy to afford Game Corner TMs. It's stuff like this that makes DPPT one of my favorite games to run through.
Also, Sinnoh's Game Corner is very fun, the music is a banger and I like the Clefairies.
