>>57970458 (OP)Gotta keep it how it is, but if I had to choose, Ground Bug is slightly more interesting as it is a fast U-turn user with moderate bulk that can switch in and out a bunch thanks to levitate while Ground is always useful on such a fast mon. I'd much rather have something be walled by flying types than by fairy types.
>>57971034Ninetales is honestly fine as it is competitively, but Fire/Ghost is really over done by this point and Fire/Psychic (especially on a fox) is wearing a bit thin too. Fairy might be nice and interesting (assuming it at least gets dazzling gleam), though it might end up being too good of a weather setter, though I suppose that'd be in line with it's counterpart.
>>57971165I do really like the thought of having a ghost and rock type, but I don't think Cofagrigus could pull it off even with Power Gem. Just too many things it's weak to.... but I think Ground is too saturated. So with Steel, we'd be trading in a Poison quad resist into an immunity and one to the condition, a Water weakness for a Fire one, and nothing for the Grass resistance. I'd maybe say Steel, but if access to Stealth Rock is on the table, then Rock may actually win out. It is a fairly good offensive combo though, just not something that'd make it as clear cut as it would be on a different stat spread. So pure Ghost is preferred, but depending on the access to SR, I'd give it to Steel.
