>>57972407>Realistically patternfags probably think it’s because we get a new Gen every 3 yearsProper patternfags know they take a gap year every 10 to line up the latest new Gen release with the anniversary (DP due '05, pushed back to '06/3rd Gen 6 game cancelled, '15 left bare). After SV DLC it was up in the air, ILCA and Pokémon Works were a thjing, so a new game could have launched for '25, if L: Z-A and Switch 2 launched last year but after they stated "2025" for it, it was clear that WAS the gap year and this year would likely have been bare. They're going to mark anniversaries with new Gens forever it seems, even if the first was a fluke but when they cancelled XY2 to get SM finished for the 20th, it cemented the idea. If that means taking a gap year to finagle it to line up, so be it.
