I don't think the starters are going to be getting Megas anyway. If anything the Gen 6 starters will be available as gift mons and they'll get Megas. The starters will get regional forms for their final Evo, following the first Legends game.

The Johto starters aren;t like the KANTOOOO or Hoeen startres that always show up together. the Johto starters have never really been marketed as a trio in the first place. and the tera leaks confirmed Game Freak values typhlosion the least (any love Typhlosion have gotten was entirely due to other part of the franchise or from fans).
