I'm about to finish up my replay (to get spare legendaries/one-time catches I can use for trades later on down the line) by filling out the Indigo dex yet again, nightmare that it is, and I'm realizing that I kind of want a shiny Brute Bonnet despite having Violet.

How do the union rooms in Area Zero work? I was always under the impression they kind of sucked and only spawned things around the host, but is that any different on Switch 2? It seems like a pain. I'd be fine doing a 1:1 trade for a shiny Violet paradox too, I'd just have to go get one, which would not be too difficult. Nothing I'd be concerned about for a few days at the absolute soonest anyway but I figure asking doesn't hurt.

Gen 2, loved how it felt like a semi-mystical world which always had more and more stuff to find. As a kid, it seemed like there was always another quest or item or time/day spawn you didnt find. The simplicity of the graphics with the art style helped that way a lot. 5 is probably my favorite for actually playing since its so fast though.

For me it was the opposite. In the beginning I was more into the cards. Then with gen 3 I dropped the cards for magic and got more into the games. Then when gen 4 and the DS came out it made me agry that they had the second screen and touchscreen gimmick instead of more power and that gen 4 looked almost exactly like gen 3 and dropped the games too, bought a PSP instead. I only rediscovered gen 4 recently thanks to Legends Arceus and gen 9, which rekindled my love for pokemon. I never sold my GBA or the gen 3 games because I loved them. However I did sell almost all my pokemon cards collection back then to buy magic, unfortunately. If only I at least bought power 9 with it instead of packs kek.

Definitely the worst DA I've done so far. I have Zygarde route saved, which is Groundon on steroids and requires even more specific mons to be in the den.
This whole system is just so poorly thought out and luck dependent regardless of whether playing with people or npcs.

I don't understand, I haven't kept track of my encounters but from a quick calculation I can do about 120 per hour. From a very conservative estimate I can assume I do about 500 per day. In some ways Zygarde is better. He's 4x to ice instead of 2x and has less coverage even if arrows is hax. Still, something like Cryogonal will fare much better against Zygarde than Groudon since you won't get Eruptioned. Solo'd with Skeledirge and shell bell.
Maybe I was a bit lucky it was using snarl instead of dark pulse until I tera'd and lost my dark weakness.
Slow battle but I never died and very winnable.
Then I went online and it was Skeledirge, fire mask Ogrepon, a fucking Moltres, and someone running a Corviknight and we destroyed it with half the timer remaining.
It's a really easy raid sadly.

Great, it worked as expected. Enter a multiplayer raid, press Skitter Smack all day long debuffing it's Special Attack while retards spam their Fire type damaging moves and they won't die. Used a Booster Energy as item with 252 Attack EVs to trigger it and compensate the Tablet of Ruin ability from boss. Even a raidcrawler/bot script could run it and farm us those 1M victories overnight
