>VS Seeker
>Trainer Tower
>Safari Zone
>Game Corner slot machines
>Fame Checker
>Trainer Card customization
>Selphy
>Joyful Game Corner minigames (multiplayer)
>Berry Crush (multiplayer)

LGPE has:

So what's the final verdict? Which game is better overall? FRLG or LGPE? Why? Also which game has the better art style and region design in your opinion?

Is there really a question? The lists are pretty self explanatory

I think the lists are pretty even. Personally, I'd say FRLG has more "lengthy" content, but LGPE has more "varied" content.

I think FRLG has more substance, while LGPE has more style. So yes, I'd say that FRLG is the overall winner.

The only thing FRLG has over LegPee that I care about is the Tower.

Both were cute
But for anyone under the age of 18 it’s the switch game
>2p
>busted shiny odds
How’s this even a question?

I also really like the VS Seeker because it let's you rematch almost all the NPC trainers in the game

Apples to oranges. The gameplay is different enough to say they're both worth playing (though I'd get a PSS patch for FRLG myself. I do in fact.)

I think this is definitely true. In fact, I think that FRLG and LGPE combined would make the best Pokemon game ever.

They need another Kanto remake that merges the best of both of these worlds.
I would keep the available pokemon confined to Kanto and evolution families/ regional variants. I would just cram all the new regional variants into Sevii.

I know a lot of the RGB sprites are memed on but I kinda love how fucking big some of them got.
Like the moment you saw Parasect sliding onto your screen you could tell that's a motherfucker you do not wanna mess with.
Feels like something the series lost over the years.

I robbed those bikers in the Cycling Road so many times, I should've been turned into their honorary leader.

LGPE has that annoying faggot Trace, but it also has Green, so there's that.

Based.

Bro I just love the VS Seeker because it allows us to revisit literally any place on the map of Kanto and the Sevii Islands, and you still have a reason to go there. It makes the whole world feel alive.

I don't mind Trace personally. I would have HATED him IF he replaced Blue, but since Blue is still in the game I don't mind Trace.

You can’t evolve your partner Pikachu so it’s an automatic win for FRLG for me

You can still catch and evolve a regular Pikachu in LGPE tho. Just not your partner one, for obvious reasons.

That said, I think I prefer FRLG too. It has the Sevii Islands, Trainer Tower, VS Seeker, etc. Also, Red is the best Player Character ever imo.

Somehow I could never get over the shift from typical wild Pokémon battles, to the shitty GO style catching mechanics. Modern GameFreak has a bad habit of copying what's popular at the time. Hopefully now that GO isn't the phenomenon it was when LGPE was in production, if there's ever a sequel, it can go back to traditional wild Pokémon battles, and maybe only switch to the ball throwing gameplay when you in fact want to catch said Pokémon.
