This was a good game. I liked the formula of combining the old gen and new gen. BDSP was the disappointment.

It’s basically gen 3 with Megas and an added on story

Bdsp at least didn‘t fuck up dungeon design or towns.

ORAS is style over substance.
BDSP is substance over style.

I liked how FRLG, HGSS and ORAS could be seen as both remakes of old games but also mainline sequels to their respective main gen games.
It's cool how they were still pushing the Pokemon formula forward even when rethreading old ground.
BDSP being so far removed from SwSh was really lame, it doesn't really move the series forward in any way.

BDSP should have been made by gamefreak and not outsourced to pajeets with a minimal budget and 18 month deadline. Instead we got a dogshit tech demo in PLA and those abominations

BDSP fucked up basic overworld movement

no good thing about bdsp can be salvaged by the fact you cannot play the game because it's ugly and retarded to look at

I still don't get why these are so hated. Yeah "le battle tower project has started" or whatever the fuck (I really never cared about battle facilities) was stupid but I thought they were perfectly fine remakes

They've definitely got a few issues.
Exp. Share fucks the leveling curve up to hell since battles from the original weren't adjusted to account for it.
They turned most dungeons into straight lines.
Gave you a free Latios/as in the mid-game.
There's only three trainers that use mega evolutions in the campaign.
They introduce a bunch of warp points throughout the story that totally ruin the design intent of Hoenn by making you ignore entire routes.
To be fair a majority of these are optional and outside the dungeons that got cut down you can theoretically play it just like RS with no Latios or Megas or overleveled mons, but still it's a bit too easy to just break the game in half.

bdshit shills shitting on the previous remake (actual remake) to make them feel better about their demake (a glorified port)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The only reason people hate this game is because it's not Emerald. Once you set that aside, they are easily the superior Gen 6 experience.

Duh, outside Luminaria nobody can think a memorable city or dungeon while hoenn is one of the most memorable regions

Dont forget the injection of tons of dialogue fluff into every character interaction.
