Venusaur is more balanced stats-wise with good 100 SpATK and SpDEF while Meganium is just defensive.
Venu also has better moves and HA, while Mega has nothing interesting

Because Gen II sucks. I’m a grass head myself, but look at meganium, where’s the leaf on its head go? Does it turn into the big antenna? Where the fuck does the flower come from? Flowers don’t grow like that. And what is it a dinosaur? Literally take away the antenna and it’s a dinosaur with its head through a giant flow, but even still, it doesn’t make sense to have its head through that part of the flower, it wouldn’t work like that because the stem and middle part are so much stronger than the petals he wouldn’t be able to put his head through that way. It just doesn’t make sense.
