I like her implied character arc in the games. She goes from intimidating and bad with people, to learning to loosen up, to be confidently bold when she wants to be as a movie actress.

Her introductory episode was perfect, for the first time making a human a threat, even leaving her Pokémon in the background. The conclusion mini arc was comical and featured a deus ex machina in the form of Haunter, something common in early episodes.

My real complaint was not giving her a rematch and finally having Ash earn that badge in a worthy way, as happened with Mega Gyarados vs. Pikachu, and more importantly, missing the opportunity for Ash's Gengar to be the same Haunter from years ago.

I liked her episode, I saw the anime episode before I played Red/Blue, and was disappointed game Sabrina wasn't anything like anime Sabrina. Overall I like her. I even liked her that much I wrote an obituary for her a long time ago.

What did she want to do with the shrunken kids here, if she were to catch them. Squeeze them?? They were already little-sized in her dollhouse, she could do anything to them, but she was still being violent anyway!

Later on she turned Misty and Brock into actual dolls, but here they were still living humans, just tiny. And she wanted to grab them all into her palm which is scary when you think about it.

Again, you're missing the point. Pokemon's society doesn't give any prestige to human contests of skill. Being the best psychic in the world doesn't get you anything. But being a pokemon gym leader makes you one of the most renowned individuals in the region, to the point where you can use that leverage to become a movie star in a foreign country.
