In MTG, Yawgmoth, the leader of Phyrexia/Phyrexians initially healed people sick with an incurable disease by implanting crystals/powerstones into them that as a side effect elongated their limbs and deformed them.

I thought it was about some deviant art kid’s friend with cancer getting chemo so their hands seem longer and skinnier compared to a fully healthy ‘fat’ hand

Honestly, a Pokemon equivalent to MTG would be cool.

>I am afraid to touch [the crystal] because it will make my small hands grow very large
>But, my best freind Roger is here. You can see that Rogers hands are large but this is not because he touched the crystal, It is because he has a condition called Marfan Syndrome
What fucking purpose does this plot contrivance serve?

It's sad...
The art was obviously a cope for dealing with his friend's poor health
His friend died and he erased his deviant art page...

The internet before it became widely accessible to normalfags is so damn interesting to me. I'm a '04 zoomfag myself so I can't speak for most of it but I'm glad I got a brief taste of genuine autist sovl from classic Gmod vids and ytps

Reminder the only reason we dont still have this is because pedophiles ruined the internet. Parents actually pay a modicum of attention to what their kids do online now.

>Parents actually pay a modicum of attention to what their kids do online now.
Lol no. What ruined the Internet was every website wanting your personal info. Back in the day, if anyone asked what your age was, you knew they were a freak and would avoid them. The Internet was treated like the ocean, where it was probably fine to be in, but you didn't really know what was around you, and you still had to be careful. This allowed kids, teenagers, and adults to coexist peacefully because no one knew anything about each other. Everyone was just a "user", and anyone asking for personal info was treated with extreme suspicion. Now, however, you're expected to put your entire identity online, resulting in people losing the casual ability to interact in the same way as they used to. You have to verify you're talking to someone your age, and block them if you're not.
