Kind of wild to think that the purple kecleon was supposed to be a sneak peak at color variations for the species in the games and they just quietly shelved it. I can't find the concept art from the leaks a while back, but I think there was also a blue Kecleon and a yellow (?) One too.

I miss it. Early reveals were peak soul. Closest we got in recent times was Terapagos in the anime before Indigo Disk was out, and even then it was teased in the Scarlet/Violet Book in the games before then.
