Why have they become so lazy after BW2?

>3D game development is harder than 2D sprites
>Global release dates means all text needs to be available in all languages on day 1 (as opposed to releasing the Japanese version a year before the others)
>TPC still has them on the same semi-annual time frame despite this increase in production needs.
Thread over. Next question.

Because they decided to make major legendaries catchable too and there was already an insane amount of legendaries by Gen 6. In my opinion the Hoopa rings were cool since the Pokemon were dragged in there by Hoopa from their original locations into areas that fit them.

To be fair, Virizion is a minor legend. You're almost guaranteed to run into at least one in each game. There's a few exceptions.

i was always bothered by the way the galarian 'catch all the legendaries' thing makes no sense canonically at all, like "they just decided to go there as a joke go catch them all dont think about the world at all" as apposed to the hoopa rings portals in those games & the ultra wormholes in USUM, those at least had a fun somewhat feasable in-universe reason for including a 'catch all the legendaries' events

I think it has something to do with how they spawn and the fact that shinies appear in the overworld. Of course, they could've still found a way around this, like having it's shininess determined when it loads in, so players can save before the legendary loads in then reset if it's not shiny.

>"muh TPC" boogyman meme
It's Nintendo who set the release schedule, you braindead fuckwit. TPC have NO part in the production of Game Freak games, save what Game Freak contract them to do fir anty articular game (eg making the models for new Gen or newly added pokémon). They're also a subsidiary of Game Freak subordinate to them, thus not actually in a position of power to comple Game Freak to do anything. And Nintendo keep them to this schedule, because EVERY fucking game release sees a spike in sales of hardware required to play that game (RG made Nintendo pull a 180 and continue producing Game Boys as well as adding revision models to its line-up, while the west similarly started falling in love with the games). BDSP doubled the weekly Switch sales in Japan for fuck's sake. Nintendo keep Game Freak to this schedule to drive their hardware sales. Just look at the fact they held back L: Z-A (despite it being touted for Switch 1 first) until they revealed the Switch 2 along with an upgrade pack for the game, they WANTED to use Pokémon as a console seller AGAIN, not piss away sales on S1's then try and get a reaction for Switch 2 the next year.

Hell, could always do the "respawns if KO'ed after beating AAT" or something.
They better be planning a shiny Legend event for next year's anniversary celebrations or at least let us shiny sandwich the cunts or something. Hell, let us spawn as many the cunts we want, only allow us to catch one.

focus the stories on the new Pokemon rather than old legendaries you've already experienced the stories for but still allow people to capture said legendaries. It's only awful when they do it with new legendaries. Whoever decided that Diancie should be through a random Center NPC should be fired

Honestly wish they'd limit legendries a little more. I can understand making it so each legendary is available per console generation, but throwing just about every legendary in every mainline game makes them feel so cheap, especially from a lore standpoint.

No Pokemon game has ever launched with a system because Game Freak are still technically independent. It would make infinitely more sense for this to be the case for launch. If Nintendo systems launched with Pokemon games, their sales would be through the stratosphere. Instead they just get these shitty little "spikes" you're describing because Game Freak are always behind. When the Switch launched, Game Freak put a 3DS game out the same year. Why? It's not because Nintendo wanted to sell more 3DS systems, it's because that's what Game Freak was working on at the time. It was a C Team project while A Team was working on SwShit and B Team was working on LGPiss

Your logic is incongruent with how a company would actually operate. Game Freak's independence is to blame, the 3 year cycle is rot set in by Masuda who developed games in a much simpler time period than what GF was actually trained for. I'm sure at this point if Nintendo actually had a say in Pokemon development they'd have replaced Game Freak decades ago

>Game Freak's release schedule doesn't help consoles sell and also directly conflicts with the sales of other Nintendo games
>Game Freak's international release schedule was specifically set by Masuda and coincides with international merchandise release cycles, as opposed to just Japanese ones that tend to center around Golden Week instead of Christmas
Yeah, I'm blaming TPC, even if it's sort of indirect. Notably, this dogshit release schedule is probably why BDSP exists and was so fucking awful, because Iwao probably simply decided he didn't give a shit about selling toys and just wanted to finish a fucking video game. On the other hand, I'd argue Nintendo having to fucking apologize for Game Freak's fuckup with SV is probably evidence for Nintendo wanting them to delay the games instead (and given ZA is likely developed by somebody that isn't Masuda or his toady Ohmori it's probably being delayed for that reason instead of forced out last November).

I know you're busy shitting on B2W2 for no reason, but I find it really funny that Moltres was just sitting in an easy to access open area of Victory Road, but in BW Terrakion was also in Victory Road but you had to go through an actual puzzle and also fight Cobalion in a completely different dungeon first. Also, B2W2 has a Regi puzzle in it which are always the best part of any Legendary Pokemon hunt, I have to give it credit. Having 3 legendaries from the previous game just show up in the middle of the plot is way less offensive than the ending of BW anyway. It could also be considered to be better than roaming Pokemon or worse, the time wasting shit from XY that's the worst part of roaming Pokemon without any of the fun parts.
