smoochum - smooch - level 60 (most of my playthrough was spent grinding her, i lost against lance several times because she'd go down in 1 move) - perish song; blizzard; psychic; ice beam

quagsire - wop - level 43 - surf; earthquake; headbutt; yawn

aipom - pompom - level 47 - iron tail; thunderbolt; strength; cut

murkrow - emoe - level 45 - wing attack; shadow ball; sucker punch; fly

jumpluff - hophop - level 42 - sleep powder; mega drain; poison powder; u-turn

forretress - (cant share nickname or ill doxx myself lol) - level 45 - strength; mirror shot; explosion; bug bite

yup murkrow specially he was the team ace, but jumpluff has been another pokemon that hasn't been very useful except to set up a poison/sleep powder for dire situations

did you keep leech seed on jumpluff? sleep powder and leech seed is a powerful combo. although it wouldn't be as good in gen 4 as it is in gen 2 because they reduced the max number of sleep turns.

i think it's because in johto so many things are weak to dark, ghost & flying all of which it has moves in, you'll probably struggle in every other region
just in the elite 4, 100% of will's team is weak to at least 1 of those, 40% of koga's team, 80% of bruno's & 40% of karen's

no because i wanted to set up sleep/poison powder and then u-turn to another pokemon and then i wanted to have at least 1 actually damage dealing grass type move so in the end i had no room left for leech seed but i agree that set up is good on almost all other grass type pokemon
