An interesting thing is that in the japanese version of BW2 the requirement for the final star was to collect all the medals, while in the international version it was replaced with the Entralink level

did it in black 2 and alpha sapphire. got 4/5 in PtHG. 100 straight wins in the battle tower was too big an ask

Yeah. Working on SwSh atm, which isn't hard, it's just beating the game and the DLC. After that, trainer card stars get dropped so Idk what I'm gonna do with myself after that point.
Worst star outside of battle facilities is BW2's Entree stuff which is an unholy grindfest of just endlessly searching for hidden items. The stamp for the Poke Finder is also pretty mindlessly grindy but definitely not as long.
A lot of the other stars outside of battle facilities are pretty fun though. Shout out to BW2's PWT for being actually achievable with non-autistic team comps.

Slowly working on Emerald and Platinum. I was in the middle of an RNG playthrough of Colosseum when my PC died, so I haven’t played much in the last few weeks.

Last big thing I did was get the second set of type plates from the underground and pretty much all base decorations.

I first finished all stars in my copy of Ruby. When I moved to leafgreen I realized I wouldn't be able to finish it due to the link cable requirements for the stupid multiplayer game so moved on.
Pearl took me a while but was a ton of fun. In heart gold getting all the pokeathlon bullshit was an interesting challenge.
I took a long break but after a few years just recently I finished the stars in my copy of black. Entralink was simple enough just slow and boring. The battle subway took me over a year mostly due to procrastination. It's really easy to be 40 wins in then lose and toss the game aside for two months.
I'll be moving on to White two sometime later in the year. Expecting it to be more of the same though.

You could probably get the Underground Platinum flag in ~1 hour. You need 2 DS and it’s basically just walking in and out of a secret base 50 times and “meeting’ the other player each time they come out.

There’s the different fossils, Arceus plates, and decorations you can collect for 100%, but none of those are tied to trainer card progression

Lol never mind, this is for something else.
To get the Platinum flag, have your second DS place their secret base right next to yours, go into their base, steal their flag, and take it back to your base. Repeat 50 times. Also takes about an hour

Nah, I didn't do Emerald until after FRLG so I rawdogged that shit and yeah, Pikachu is painful to use. I only really did it to replicate Red's team from the manga, which is really good otherwise.

You're not missing much with the FRLG multiplayer stuff. They're basically just flash games. And if you thought the BW Entralink stuff was slow and boring, get ready for 10-20 hours of scavenger hunts in BW2.
