I dunno about the second but this isn't a platformer
I guess you technically have to jump over some gaps in the one dragon castle area, and the mew pavilion place I think, but the bulk of it is running around doing combat and minigames.
Easier to call the "pokemon game with actual action combat" because it is, however easy the combat ends up being since there's nothing stopping you from just spamming thunderbolt (or one of the melee attacks against the rare ground type)
