Some palettes in the jump to GBA didn't quite work out as intended, like the Geodude line, because they also had to account for the GBA lacking a backlight (which like many other GBA games made them prioritize pop-out coloration, even if it didn't look quite right to the actual design,) and ultimately they were lazy twats who didn't bother fixing the palettes on the jump to DS which DID have a backlight.
