I can't stand the soundtrack for these ones. They turned the peaceful tranquil songs of Johto into an obxnoxious bouncing marching band. Definitely overrated games

What I hate about HGSS is that Pokemon following you is an obligatory thing, rather than an optional feature. Always having a Pokemon behind you, breathing behind your neck, gets annoying fast.

Most of the Gen 2 route themes were already marching bands, in fact that's kind of a consistent musical aesthetic for the whole series.
