It was slightly less cool for me because his team only had 1 pokemon in common with my game, and because I had used the default name of Red for my rival back then so the guy I was used to being called Red was Blue.

Still got what they were going for though. I can only imagine what some kid who played through yellow and had a near identical team would have thought of it. It really was a special moment in gaming.
