Muk always had a more likeable design, but it feels like they've always been overshadowed by Weezing. At least until it received its Alolan form

Love this guy, sludge monsters are justva fun concept. Really love how it appears in stadium, stadium just has such great representations of the first two gen's dex.

Muk was probably always meant to be a slime monster stand-in that other RPGs had, but for me, the pollution monsters helped Kanto feel a lot more grounded. It makes sense that a world filled with monsters would have a lot of monsters that have adapted to garbage and other grimy elements humans created.

i'm pretty sure it actually had a niche on very specific types of teams at some point in gen 9 ou. for a pokemon that didn't get any insane new moves, gen 1 stat distributions, no evolution, monotyped, and a mediocre hidden ability in gen 5, it's actually pretty damn great

He's a gud boi. I had one in my first run of B2. Named him "Tom" for no particular reason. He now occupies the Muk position in my living dex with a heart marking to make sure I can always find him. I love Tom.
