With ai and source code acquisitions, how long do you think it will be until we get good games again? I literally just want good follower mons, natdex, amie or some kind of interaction like camp and picnic and a region that isn't a garbage dump like kalos and up. My soul is so sad, i fucking despised the switch "games" and the 3ds ones were lacking a lot of quality.

I am not a hater of AI (I hate the culture that has sprouted around it but that's a different story), but expecting anything capable of making a competent game is still a long ways away. Making things with AI is pretty much just as difficult as not using it as wrangling the AI becomes its own different skillset that takes about as much effort. And even then it can only competently do -some- of the busywork, which you would need to double check as it can easily become confused the more complsx the task is.
