Liko’s obsession with Gurumin is a manifestation of her repressed Pokephilia, its why she can easily disassociate Gurumin from Dot and why she still get excited at Gurumin but doesn’t act all flustered around Dot. Her 1 year of not watching Gurumin videos was caused by a diminished sex drive due to her depression. These feelings also manifested in the personality test that was used to select her starter which is why she was chosen to be partnered with a Pokemon that would evolve into an extremely clingy one. Her desire to understand the feelings of Pokemon also stems from her desire to have romantic intercourse with Pokemon.
