I honestly think they saw all the yelling about ZA's shit graphics+style and saw how the S2 just came out and they're going to pull a Bananza and crap flora and fauna all over everything and call it a "Switch 2" title and sell it for $70-80. (Yes this is what happened with Bananza, it was a S1 game and they literally just threw clutter around to make it look "next gen". My guess there is that they panicked and had to shit out a new game ASAP so people don't get bored of the S2 so quick like they are.)
I mean, there's also the fact the only shit worth spoiling is whatever Megas they crapped onto ZA, it's not nearly as exciting or in-demand as whole new Pokemon because they'll be gone and forgotten in a year anyway because TPC hates keeping gimmicks around for longer than a gen now.
