Some content was moved to other parts of Kalos, the rest was saved for the planned "Z" version

No, he's more or less correct. The only major thing he's missing is the fact that the Pokemon transfer feature was moved to a separate app that Game Freak can kill independently, and it was probably going to actually be Mega X and Mega Y instead of "Z". Some content also made it in to ORAS, like Soaring. It's a shame SM's development was kind of fucked and we never got the upper version(s) though, Kalos is forever going to be mediocre.

It's really sad that AZ gave them the opportunity to revisit Kalos and instead they chose to be super lazy about it and confine the game to just 1 city. Just like how if they ever remake Gen 5 they're just gonna do the first game in ilac style again without even considering what to do with the story of N or the characters themselves like say Herbert leaving the region to chase N and coming back to battle the player they even had lines
