Coming up with a Gen 6 team and I wanted to keep it current mons only but obviously you can't if you wanna use a Mega, so I was wondering which mon would be the most appropriate both aesthetically and type coverage wise as the big guy in my team?
I don't really wanna use the Kanto starter either since it kinda cheapens the whole thing in a BW elemental monkey kind of way.

>No Kanto Starters
>No duplicate typing
>No postgame mega
Leaves Abomasnow, Garchomp, Kangaskhan, and Manectric
Abomasnow and Garchomp might as well be post game with how late they show up.
Truthfully, I just say forgo any Mega and run Florges. Not only do you get to play with only Kalos pokemon, but you won't have to waste a bunch of time watching the mega evolution animation, Plus, as a bonus, you won't have to look at the ugly ass mega evolutions.
But if your sold on Megas, I'd go Manectric.
