1. Free exploration, vehicles - bikes, ships, trains etc, riding pokemon (actually riding them like palworld kinda), fast travel, caves (real caves), underground, maybe underwater

4. Traffickers, shady merchants, counterfeit rare candies with side effects etc
5. Lots, they can, not each and every town is uniquely styled, these can be regional
6. As above, having to actually camp out along the way would be cool, like an actual journey from A to B
7. Either reactive turn based, like expedition 33 but more, or real time combat, being able to switch between controlling your character and controlling your pokemon, mega evolution seems cool
