When SV came out I genuinely believed they were the worst of the series but since replaying them, I still think the base game is pretty shitty, but Kitakami, BB Academy and the Epilogue were really fun. Replayed SwSh afterwards and fucking hell they are BAD. Like, even with the Expansion content they're still so. Fucking. BAD.

I feel like he and many at GF, at least on the A team/the ones who make the base game of each new generation under Ohmori have grown wearily cynical. In the Switch/2 era, there's no excuse.
Every single game is compatible, and you can transfer your new pokemon to older versions, as long as they're in the regional dex and don't forget ZA and Gen 10 are coming too.
EVEN fucking pokemon home rewards you for playing the Switch games by giving you shiny mythicals.
