At this point, it feels like they've already lost.
Even if Palworld gets shut down, it's gotten all the value it's ever going to get at this point. It was a flash in the pan style game. Fun at it's release, and not expected to endure for years upon years.

Palworld is based. Been playing it daily for 2 1/2 weeks now. Having a blast. Pokemon wished their games were this immersive.

Unironically on TPC for trying to patent shit just to excuse bullying Pocketpair when they could've just waited for the game to die a natural death instead

Good, very good.
We knew from the start that this lawsuit was a major bullshit and Nintendo's attempt to intimidate other studios into submission. I don't really give a damn about Palworld, but I genuinely wish the worst for Nintendo. They need to be humbled down and put back in their place.

I just hope that when all the updates and crossovers happen, we finally get the full game even if the servers are off.
Palworld is fine if you want something different from Pokémon. At least is a palet cleanser. Maybe some other Monster Taming games appearing can finally give a rest to the yellow mouse.

Standard procedure. Same thing happened against Colopl and they had to settle.

Also Palslop threads should be banned.

Nintendo has to be blind as fuck to not only hurt themselves with a Palworld-event part 2, but also fumble so bad, most of the top heads of TPC are cut before the yearly quarter is over.
I wish it could happen, but I highly doubt it. Palworld was just the first "Pokémon is not that great" sign, but it will take a lot to a complete deconstruction.

Palworld is peak slop though. Bad and stiff animations and stock unreal engine assets that clash with the flat textured pals. Lime sure yeah pokemon has shit animations too but palworld getting a pass as well is silly.
>Palworld are actually small indie devs
Yeah who outright copied pokemon designs 1:1 lmao

Besides all the controversy with Pal designs supposedly copying Pokemon designs, being able to ride whatever Pal you want (granted it can carry you) is something that Pokemon doesn't have outside of extremely limited options.

True, but this is the kind of thing that should've been another Pocketpair slop that wasn't supposed to last beyondd 3 or 4 months, stay in alpha forever, and they trying to get coin by copying something else.
No, the real kicker was Nintendo lawyers giving them free publishing. Who needs to buy online ads or release YT videos when everyone and their mother scream "NINTENDO PUNCHING DOWN INDIE DEVS!!!"
The clickbait brought the influencer normies, those normies spread to the most memetic retards online, and then it was over from there. Palworld was another "Lighting in a bottle" moment, only because Nintendo felt scared from a slop game.
And what happened after that? The lead was smart: make deals, reinforce your cash cow, maybe make a joke games (Pals Forever) or add a joke gimmick (you can now recruit AND SLEEP with the Tower bosses). The crossover with Terraria also gave them some spotlight with those dudes, who said "hey, this game isn't so bad."
Palworld was supposed to died ignored, but somebody at Nintendo had to be a giant retard to point at it. And when people realized there was AN ALTERNATIVE to the main choice of Monster Taming games, word of mouth did the rest.

Nintendo did this on itself, no one else.

The only reason why Klawf has Anger Shell is because Game Freak was too lazy to give it actual stats, having the generic Rock type stats that Game Freak is obsessed with.

All I want is better games, regardless of who's making them. Hopefully when this shakes out Nintendo will put more pressure on Game Freak to make something good again while Pocketpair takes this as their warning that they're flying REAL close to the sun and need to work on building in even more unique stuff to keep their identity their own.

This is why I don't like Pokémon in 3D. Sure, I could've give them some leeway back in XD/Colleseum because those were early 3D and spin offs.
But when they started to make 3D animations, I look over to games like Monster Rancher for the GBA. When they had attacks like Slash or Bite, you saw them moving their arms or moving in a way they imply biting.
My favorite example is Wolfkin: He has ranged attacks, mid atacks and close attacks.
When he attacks in range, he shows his palm to fire a blast of energy. Mid attacks were fire uppercuts or high kicks, and close like bite or multiple slashes he jumped at the enemy (and if it was slashes, he moved around to imply many scratch attacks).

Gamefreak no longer bothers, they are just being cheap now.
