i can't use cheat codes on a DSi silly. i don't want to pay 300 dollars for a copy of HG so i just put the ROM on my DSi for the authentic experience

1) If you are using a ROM (assuming either flashcart or twilight menu ++) you can just pokesav your .sav to get the shiny.
2) You don't need to cheat to do RNG manipulation.
