Here's a cool way I think it could be implemented for a future game without it being busted or creating too much dev time.
>The player's OC mon will be confined to having one base stat total to prevent people from giving each stat 999.
>Throughout the main campaign, you will be given a finite number of choices that affect what your OC mon's final stats will be.
>Like Mystery Dungeon, choices where you choose to act now rather than later go into speed, aggressive over passive options go into attack, etc.
>Say that you're an aggressive asshole, your OC mon's highest stat will be its attack and each subsequent stat will be lower depending on how often or rarely you chose certain options.
>Depending on some of your answers, some of your stats may be equal.
>Depending on which version, the context of your OC mon being created revolves around either the supernatural (magic, reality warping, etc.) or sci-fi (created in a lab).
>When the time arrives to receive it, you will be given a character creator that's comprised of as many physical features of already existing mons as possible.
>You also get a "paint job" option like if you want the flame on the tip of the tail to be blue or the fins to be red and so on.
Not sure if this should be advertised front and center or if it should be a post-game reward. Thoughts? Questions? Concerns? Ideas of your own?
